Tekla Structures is a powerful structural BIM software that allows you to model structures with different kinds of building materials, such as steel, concrete, timber, and glass. One of the features of Tekla Structures is the ability to create and manage drawings for your model objects, such as parts and assemblies. However, sometimes you may want to filter out or find the objects that do not have a drawing associated with them. In this post, I will show you how to select part without drawings in Tekla Structures using the selection filters.
Select filters are a way to select objects based on their properties, such as object type, name, material, phase, or user-defined attributes. You can access the select filters dialog box by pressing CTRL+G.
Select parts without Single part drawings in Tekla Structures:
To filter parts that do not have a single part drawing, use the following filter:
- Part – Primary part – Equals – 0
- Template – DRAWING.ID – Equals – 0
Select parts without Assembly drawings in Tekla Structures:
- Part – Primary part – Equals – 1
- Template – ASSEMBLY.DRAWING.ID – Equals – 0
Note that DRAWING.ID can only be used with the Template category and you need to manually type it in the Property field.
